Who are We? The Office of Medical Bioethics is part of the Calgary Health Ethics Services. It provides administrative and academic services related to research ethics review process and procedures and to human healthcare ethics. For the health research community it is best known for the administrative functions on behalf of the Conjoint Health Research Ethics Board. For the general academic community it is known for its academic pedagogy in the realm of bioethics at the undergraduate and graduate levels. As well as experienced professional administrators for the CHREB functions, the office consists of academic staff with expertise from areas of medicine, law, nursing, and psychology.
