Global Outreach Program

Our Global Outreach Program expands and coordinates the GeHRT's international and global activities. The Program consists of four components; three (research, training, and e-learning) are coordinated by the GeHRT, and the fourth (clinical service) will be supported by use of the GeHRT facilities and coordinated through the Calgary Health Region and the Faculty/Calgary Health Region Steering Committee.

The overall goal will be to transfer research and e-learning skills and enhance the capacity of e-health students, researchers, experts, and Practioners in Canada and abroad, as well as to learn from these experiences. To maximize impact, the Program will support current initiatives of the University of Calgary (commitment to IT and health, and the International Office), the Calgary Health Region (clinical service), and Canada (CIDA, IDRC).

The Program will develop exchange activities, offer experiences not available in other locales, share leading edge global e-health research and learning from experienced mentors and stakeholders, and build a lifelong virtual learning global e-health community.
