Functionality:
This research suite is currently formatted in boardroom style for standard research presentations, with overhead microphones and 6 tables, with microphones and laptop connections, that can be arranged in various set-ups.  The presenter has a portable touch screen panel connected by an umbilical cord to the podium.  It is able to initiate H.320, H.323 or MPEG-2 calls.  This panel shows the image that is being sent to the remote location(s).

A podium is provided that houses a document camera, local computer and videocassette recorder.  This podium will have a LCD computer screen and a microphone for formal presentations. The room has two screens that show the near and far-end images as well as images from remote controlled cameras.

Examples of research foci:
CME, Anatomy, Histology, Radiology, Toxicology, and Knowledge Transfer.
